WELCOME TO INGLETON CRICKET CLUBS NEW WEBSITE

Just some brief points about Ingleton and jthe cricket club to give you a little taster to what we are all about.

We play in the Darlington & district league 'a' division. We only have one team, but have around 17 playing members of which i am very grateful of understanding our 'mourinho' style rotation system.

We play at the equivalent of Lords, by Lords i mean we are on a slope similar to that of Lords (but don't tell Mr Heslop our groundsman as he actually thinks we mean it!)

Currently our squad is made up of around a dozen 'Village people' with the remainder coming from near by Darlington

We tend to play our strongest available side for League games, using the many cup matches we play to rotate the team around and most importantly to keep everyone happy. We finished 4th last season which was a monumental effort from the lads even beating Middleton St George (who I believe it was there only defeat) with five of our top players missing.

More about the club and it's history will appear on here later (once I see some of the older generation - I hope they don't take offence to this)

If you like the initial set up of the site but want to see more (please be patient as it has only been running since early January), post a message on the forum to comment on any improvements you may think we should add or even email us your link so we can add you to ours. I am sure we will receive plenty of hits nearer the season as I believe we are the first club in the A division to try to promote our club in this way.
